A Filipino Tradition

Among popular Lenten activities that we usually enjoy is the “visita iglesia”, an age-old tradition where devotees observe the practice of visiting at least seven Catholic churches on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. At every stop, most devotees would say the Rosary and offer personal prayers for themselves or their loved ones.

Some pick familiar and favorite churches to visit on their road trip. Others prefer to extend their journey by picking churches that are farther apart, as a sign of their devotion. Planning the Ride
